Programme Coordinators in Norway

Plant-for-the-Planet is an international network of children and youth, who are planting trees and giving presentations around the world to increase awareness of the Climate Crisis and to push for action against it. We are currently seeking

Programme Coordinators (freelance with part time hours) in NORWAY (principally in Oslo and Trondheim)

The Role

You will, with assistance from our international secretariat, organise Plant-for-the-Planet Academies, our one-day workshops for children aged 9-12. By doing so, you will help the attending children (Climate Justice Ambassadors) to empower each other to get active to save their futures.

You will be supporting the Climate Justice Ambassadors in developing their own action plans, in planting their first trees and in learning the art of public speaking.

You will generate media coverage for the children’s activities and invite well known personalities to the Academies to make our award winning “Stop talking. Start planting.” photographs with them.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the local organization of Plant-for-the-Planet Academies:

Working Hours and Salary

As this is a freelance position, there are no set hours, but a willingness to work on weekends is essential. The role would particularly suit undergraduates or recent graduates who would like to get hands-on with a trend-setting environmental organization. Payment is according to our international remuneration scheme.
